English Premier League Club Tottenham Hotspurs has signed South Korean player Son Heung-min. The South Korean was a player with Bayer Leverkusen and is touted to have moved to the English club for a deal worth between £22m.
Punters engaging in free bets forums stated that last month the London-based club had held talks with German league club Leverkusen eyeing the attacking midfielder. The South Korean tends to play off the left wing, but he is also skilled in the positions behind the attacking striker.
Come Tuesday before the closure of the transfer window, Son Heung-min did not attend training at the German club’s training grounds. The next day (Wednesday) Son was also left out of the Champions League match that was the second leg played at home against Lazio.
Free bets offers forums were trolled by punters who cautioned that Leverkusen’s explanation that the left winger was left off the squad due to flu was nothing but lies.
Leverkusen’s sports director Rudi Völler came out to confirm that the South Korean National attended his medical at Tottenham Hotspurs but was quick to state that no deal has been reached. The director only spoke to journalists citing that the English club fronted a request for the player and that talks were underway. Confirming that there is nothing that has been done so far, he concluded that Son Heung-min wouldn’t have played the match as he was down with a bout of flu!
The Buy-Out Clause
Son Heung-min contract contains a buyout clause worth twenty-two and a half million pounds that, unfortunately, expired in the month of May. The expiry only seemed to fuel Leverkusen’s bargain price in upwards of 30 million pounds.
Son was bought at the price of 22 million, the fee was recorded for the German club beating the 21 million pound transfer fee English club Chelsea FC paid the club for André Schürrle.
The 2014 summer period saw Leverkusen purchase Son Heung-min from Hamburg for ten million pounds to fill in the shoes of André Schürrle.
On free bets forums, punters are excited about the South Korean native; given that at the age of twenty-three years. Son isn’t only Asia’s player of the year; however, he is also a pin-up football player for many young and upcoming Asian footballers.
Besides Son Heung-min is the face of some blue-chip brands one of the leading companies being LG Electronics. The company is South Korean and has agreed to a deal to sponsor Leverkusen’s shirt after Son moved to the club from Hamburg.
LG Electronic signed a three-year contract deal with Leverkusen worth six million pounds every year. However, the company suggested that it will not renew the contract if Son Heung-min left the club!
The Sensational Son Heung-min
Free bet offer sites have profiled the South Korean and agree that his stay in Leverkusen has been worthwhile. Son has performed exemplary on the field getting attention from some English Premier League sides.
Liverpool was one club that was being likened in signing up the play in the month of May 2015. Son Heung-min has always wanted to be part of the English Premier League and should all things go as planned, Tottenham Hotspurs will be the team that grants him his wish.
